Day 19: My Movie

Day 19 — The film that best describes how my day-to-day life is like…

This one was hard! The kinds of movies I watch aren’t the kinds that describe my life. I love dance movies and I love cheesy romantic  comedies. I also love romance and comedy respectively, and also vignette style movies like Paris I Love You, New York I Love You, Valentine’s Day, and New Years Eve.

But this prompt asks for a movie that describes my life.

Well I didn’t know the answer, so I googled it, and here are some of the quiz results I got.

1. Never Back Down

At his new high school, a rebellious teen is lured into an underground fight club, where he finds a mentor in a mixed martial arts veteran.

Never Back Down Poster

Atleast the guy’s hot. But I’m not a guy. I suppose I try not to back down and be a pushover, but I don’t think this is right. Oh well, on to the next one.

2. Seven Pounds

Maybe a tragedy has happened to you before, or you have unfinished business in this world, and on your search for redemption. You have good qualities, and would willingly sacrifice yourself for others.

Comment: I liked this movie but isn’t it a little too serious? I like to have some fun! And I’m totally not old enough to be writing a will.

3. Star Wars Revenge of the Sith

Your life is just like the movie Star Wars Revenge of the Sith!

My comment – WTF Star Wars? Well I’ve never watched Star Wars so I don’t know, maybe that’s true. But such a random response. I am starting to lose faith in the quiz system by this point 😉

4. One and the Same

Your life is a movie about friendship, you love your friends and always want to be there for them like they’ve been there for you.

Comment: Now this is an analysis I can live with! It’s been the most accurate so far, even though it comes from a totally disreputable site written by a girl with horrible grammar. In Comic Sans MS. Really, no faith. But I do think that my movie would have to be one about friendship and not love. Maybe later it will be about love, but not yet. I’m not there yet. However, I have never watched this movie. I add it to my Movie Bucket List and continue.

5. Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince

Comment: At this, I giggle. I consider this a book, not a movie. And as far as the series itself go, a sub-par one at best. Anybody who knows me knows that I am a diehard fan of Books 1-4 of the series, and not so much the rest, written in a rush and when she was in popular demand, could write and publish pretty much whatever she wanted, and make millions.

6. Superbad

You love to laugh, hang around, and grab life by the horns, just like the guys in “Superbad.” Seth and Evan may have potty-mouths, but they also have a strong friendship that can survive any argument – even the ridiculously stupid ones they have in the movie. Your life mirrors the movie because you are just doing what you have to do to get by, and attacking every situation head-on. Do the same in your life, but perhaps without all of the swearing and fighting.

Comment: I knew I shouldn’t have taken the quiz. The front page had a huge Bella banner, and I should have stopped right there. Superbad? Ugh, that movie is in the worst kind of comedy. I really hate crude humor, and these kids are TOTALLY not me. I can see myself in a movie with a best friend, but definitely not this one. I don’t swear and fight much either. Boo, another flop.

I think the closest answer was the movie One and the Same. Has anybody watched it? Let me know!! I hope you enjoyed my comments, and please don’t be offended that I didn’t answer the question more conventionally! I really must go watch this film though.
